After a cave-in at Shep’s work, his brush with mortality brings them closer. But the murder of Vickie’s mom makes Shep a suspect again– and not just with the cops. Buck and Shep fight and Shep runs before he can be arrested. Determined to prove his innocence, Vickie finds evidence that Shep never murdered his parents.

 

Vickie is tricked by a man bent on revenge. It’s the man who paid for her virginity and never got it. He’s the one who murdered her parents and subsequently tricks her into coming to him. He plans on hurting her and getting what he paid for.

 

Shep and Buck mend their hurt and realize Vickie is in trouble. They use their hunting skills to find her and save her in the nick of time. The police were following, hoping to nab Shep, but with Vickie’s evidence and some evidence from the scene of the crime, Shep is off the hook. After giving their stories at the police station, the three are released.
Vickie lets Shep know she didn’t just find the evidence that saved him– she found money his grandmother had hidden away for him. It’s enough money to buy their dreams of getting out of the trailer park. They build a home and a family together.

I only really started reading often when I had baby number five, as he was born

From then on, I was hooked. I read all types of romance books.

write, as I have a very active imagination, so I put pen to paper.

 

I wrote my first book, Obsession, this year and I am super excited to say that

Coincidentally, this is my thirtieth birthday (at least I won’t forget the day

My name is Mareta L. Miller, and I’m a thirty-something-year-old Las Vegas native. Trust me when I say that growing up in Vegas, is not as awesome as it sounds. I’ve never lived in a casino and I’ve never been a stripper or a showgirl, but I have spotted Elvis no less than twice a day, my entire life. I’m just your average wife and mother of ten. Yup, I said ten, consisting of three daughters, a stepson, three puppies (because mine will never be dogs), two kitties, and a turtle.

I wish I could say I don’t have to work outside of my writing, but I do, and rectifying that fact is on the top of my “When I make it Big” list. Working the standard 40hr week, doesn’t leave much time to write, but I take advantage of every minute I have. Late nights and early mornings make for really long days, but I figure I can sleep later.

My writing, which only started a little over a year ago, has become a constant need. It’s been my way to deal with fear, but also a way to create hope. Hope that real love exists and can conquer. It gives me a feeling of accomplishment and I love being able to share my stories with all of you. I hope you’ll continue to follow me on this journey because this is only my beginning. This aspect does not define the whole story and the book is not about violence rather about two dark souls saving each other while finding true love.
This is a full length novel, with no cliffhangers and an HEA.
