About the Author

Marsha Greene

I live in the pretty little town of Caledon in Canada with my husband and two children and I love books, cooking, travelling and antique shops. Writing happened by chance when I realized that there are very few books available for kids which they really like and appreciate, so I started writing short stories for my boys. From there it took a life of its own and here I am. As a reader and writer, romance is my poison, not only for the escapism it provides but also because I think that it keeps hope, happiness and blood pumping. I look forward to this new journey I am on and meanwhile I hope to give you all a good time.

I am a part-time reviewer for Southern Charm Book Blog, and was asked to step in and read this book. I have to say with the cover I didn’t expect to get very far into the book. The phrase a cover is worth a million words, doesn’t apply here.

The story is priceless and well written. I absolutely adored it. I gave it 5 stars which is a feat because books don’t hold my attention, but this one captivated me and took me on a wonderful roller-coaster of events.

I refuse to give away any spoilers, however I will say this book is a MUST READ! Do not judge it till you open it and read it. – Janie

Stuck in Between by Blakely Bennett – ✩✩✩✩✩

Jacqs is a twenty-eight year old woman caught up in an on again, off again relationship with Bond, who is her best friend and the one who causes her the most heartache. She succumbs, yet again, to his powerful charisma, but vows not make it into more than it is, a great night of sex. Bond, too sexy for his own good, wants Jacqs for himself as he “dates” his way through the female population of South Florida. He selfishly doesn’t see the conflict of interest. Red, Bond’s best friend, has watched Bond take Jacqs for granted for way too long and soon stakes his own claim on her. Will Red and Jacqs budding relationship pull apart their tight-knit group of friends and will Jacqs survive being Stuck in Between.

About the Author

Blakely Bennett grew up in Southeast Florida and has been residing in the great Northwest for over eight years. She graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a degree in psychology, which accounts for her particular interest in crafting the personalities, struggles, and motivations of her characters. She is an avid reader of many genres of fiction, but especially enjoys erotica and romance. Writing has always been her bliss. Blakely is married to a wonderful, loving, and supportive husband, who is also a writer, and who helps to keep her grounded. She is a mother, a communitarian, a lover of music (it is always on while she is writing thanks to Pandora), and a good friend. An advocate of love and female empowerment, she is also a facilitator for a women’s group. She loves to walk and hike for exercise, and finds that, since moving to Seattle, Washington, she is now one of those crazy people who walk in the rain. Stuck In Between is her fifth novel. She is also the author of the dark erotic suspense My Body Trilogy (My Body-His, My Body-His (Marcello) and My Body-Mine) and the co-authored of the contemporary romance, The Demarcation of Jack which she wrote with her husband, Dana Bennett. I was given this book in exchange for a review. I am a reviewer with Southern Charm Book Blog and frankly I think this book was amazeballs! I was able to read it in a day and once I started I didn’t stop until it was finished. It was as captivating as it was intriguing. This was a tale of friends with those HOT fun filled activities that keep the line blurred between friendship and more. Jaqs wants more than just sex with Bond, but he is open and honest about seeing other women. Then there is Aiden who has been hiding feelings for Jaqs for a long time. This love triangle is a must read! I rate it 5 plus stars…

Omgeez this book is a must read. It is awesome. From the moment I picked it up I couldn’t put it down. I won’t post any spoilers but will say I love friends with benefit stories when someone comes out a winner.

Release Date: 9.22.15
Pre-Order: Available after 6.22.15
Teaser 1: Coming Soon

It’s been four years since I ran away—from home, my brother, and my maybe father. I created a life free of expectations while pretending I wasn’t being hunted by all of the above. I managed to stay under the radar all this time… or so I thought. When big brother shows up and saves my ass, I’m forced to face everything I left behind, including her.

It’s been four years since I became another statistic. I made a lot of mistakes when it came to Keenan Masters. The first was loving him at all. He took something from me the night he left, and when I told him I still loved him, he told me he’d always hate me. After that, I learned how to be okay… until he came back. Gone was the boy who always knew how to make me laugh, and in his place was a cold, arrogant monster.

One moment can change the path of your life. In that moment, you can see a new path you never knew could exist. You can see your present slowly change and morph into a future of complete happiness. You can look into someone’s eyes and see all that in a moment.

For Colt, that moment came in the form of a pair of the bluest eyes he had ever seen. Everything he thought his life was, the son he loved more than his own life, his family’s ranch and the life he built. He wanted to wrap her in his arms, breathe her in and share it all with her. He knew when his eyes met hers that day, he needed Addison to complete his life that he didn’t know was incomplete, until that moment.

In a moment, you can see your future happiness shatter right before your eyes. You can think that it was finally time for a happy ending and then it’s gone in a puff of smoke, violence, and drugs. The fear sets in and you begin to wonder if that happy you dreamed of as a little girl was in reality, a simple moment in time, which actually feels like a minute in your lifetime.

For Addison, she felt like her minute was the time she spent with Colt. In such a short time, he made her believe that all the past drama with her ex-husband, was exactly that, in the past. He had moved on. Until she gets a phone call and it puts a halt to all of the happiness she got when she moved back home and was with Colt. All she wanted was to be happy and most importantly make her daughter happy. And when she was with Colt, she had felt that connection, like she needed him.

You can search, unknowingly, your entire lifetime for a moment. Your life and all you’ve ever wanted or needed can appear in front of you, out of thin air, in a moment.

Will Colt and Addison get their happily ever after?

Or will their moment be just a minute in a lifetime?

I met my husband when I was twelve years old. We were friends we didn’t start dating till I was twenty one. Our lives taking us in different directions. But life has a funny way of bringing you were you’re meant to be.
I’m from and still live in the Northern Panhandle of WV. I love that my child has got to grow up in the same neighborhood that I grew up in. I love that my daughter will grow up in a town where everyone knows everyone.
I lost my daddy suddenly in 2005. I miss and think about him daily. My mom is pretty awesome. She is also a breast cancer survivor. I never knew strength till I watched her and my family go through my father’s death and my mother’s cancer. I also have a pretty terrific brother. We grew up in a home with two very hardworking parents. Knowing we were loved and that they would always be there for us. We could be anything we wanted to be. We were and are lucky. I have a best friend I talk to daily. And we talk about everything.
I’ve wrote for years. It started out as short stories and poems. When I was younger. My kindle is like my phone. If I leave the house it’s with me.
So that is me in a nutshell I’m pretty much what you see is what you get.

Confess by Reagan Phillips – 5 ✩✩✩✩✩

11535292_482820401887109_1413185688_o REVIEW OF “CONFESS” BY REAGAN PHILLIPS

I have to say when I was first approached I was excited to read this book entitled Confess by Reagan Phillips. Most of the time my next sentence starts off by telling you what is wrong with the story, but this one had none. It had the HOT steamy scenes we all hide but love to read and devour. It has intrigue and was intense. It keep me involved to the very last page. The two characters Lacy and Mitch are strong and carry themselves throughout the story. There were split seconds where I wanted to slap Mitch, but rarely is there an occasion where I do not want to smack a character. I will get book-anger-anonymous help when I get the next amazing read from Ms. Phillips.

Author Reagan Phillips is an amazing author. It is hard to hold my attention and she captured it quickly. This is not some mushy novel, it is intense and worth reading! It is amazing and keeps you captivated from the beginning.

I rate this book 5+ stars.

Surviving Brooklyn Trailer Reveal

Surviving Brooklyn_book trailer reveal banner
Title: Surviving Brooklyn
Series: Brooklyn #1
Author: Elizabeth York
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: May 15, 2015
Brooklyn Montgomery, daughter of a well-known criminal, just moved into a new apartment. She needed to be closer to downtown because she landed her dream job of becoming an assistant District attorney. Little does she know that the reason for her new job is because a killer is raining down on New York City. The killer is taking out anyone who looks like her, including the last A.D.A., and covering their bodies with thousands of forget-me-nots. Is this a clue to catching the killer or does the killer want to lead Brooklyn to her demise?
Mark Stone, Brooklyn’s childhood friend, is the lead detective in the city. He has been handed the case, but has a limited window until the FBI takes over. While he hunts to find the killer he guards Brooklyn with his life. He knows she has feelings for him, but can the past be overlooked so they can be together after they catch the killer? What happens if they can’t stop the killer in time? Will he catch the killer and capture her heart, or will the final victim be the one he wanted all along, Brooklyn?
I opened to him, and he pressed his body against mine, inhaling the moan that left my lips. All five of my senses were being overloaded by him. I could no longer hear anything but the rapid beating of my heart. I tasted coffee and whipped cream on his tongue as I inhaled his manly sandalwood scent. I looked into his eyes when he pulled away. My body burned with the need to touch him everywhere.
“Tell me no,” Mark whispered as he dropped to his knees. I watched in fascination while he untied the bow on my drawstring shorts. I shivered as I watched him pull down my shorts, exposing a pair of black lace underwear.

Up and coming author Elizabeth York has been writing for about seven years. Located in the southeast, she spends her days drinking sweet tea on the porch with her laptop in hand. She has devoted her life to her family and her books. With the loss of her Father to cancer in 2010 she makes “Dear Daddy” dedication pages in each book and donates 10% royalties to cancer research.
Take the time to get to know the characters and you will love them as much as she does.

“This has to be one of the best new indie books out there. Elizabeth York packs a punch and delivers an awesome tale of suspense, mystery, anguish and love. Her characters are well written and the story grips you from the start, you won’t want to put it down. Hold on for a helluva ride, because York delivers!” ~ Swoon Worthy Books
